Senior ServiceNow Architect

We are seeking an experienced and strategicServiceNow Architect to lead the design, implementation, and scaling of our enterprise ServiceNow platform. In this role, you will bridge the gap between business strategy and technical execution, defining the architectural roadmap across ITSM, ITOM, CSM, HRSD, or custom application scopes. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional IT leaders, developers, and stakeholders to ensure platform stability, optimal performance, seamless integrations, and alignment with industry best practices (ITIL).

Responsibilities

• Architectural Vision & Roadmap: Own the end-to-end technical roadmap for the ServiceNow platform, ensuring scalability, security, and alignment with organizational goals
• Solution Design: Translate complex business requirements into robust, scalable, and upgrade-safe technical designs utilizing out-of-the-box (OOTB) functionality wherever possible
• Platform Governance & Best Practices: Establish and enforce governance frameworks, coding standards, instance hygiene, update set management, and release processes
• Integration & Ecosystem Management: Design and oversee complex integrations between ServiceNow and third-party enterprise tools (e.g., Datadog, Jira, PagerDuty, AWS, Azure, SSO/LDAP) using REST/SOAP APIs, IntegrationHub, and MID Server architectures
• Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor a team of ServiceNow developers, administrators, and analysts; conduct code reviews and architecture design reviews
• Upgrade & Performance Optimization: Manage periodic instance upgrades, monitor system performance, troubleshoot bottlenecks, and optimize database and script execution

Requirements

• 8+ years of total IT experience with at least 5+ years specializing in ServiceNow architecture, design, and implementation within large enterprise environments
• Deep technical proficiency in core IT Service Management (ITSM) and one or more adjacent domains: IT Operations Management (ITOM - Discovery, Service Mapping, Event Management), Customer Service Management (CSM), HR Service Delivery (HRSD), or Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM)
• Advanced knowledge of ServiceNow development standards: JavaScript, Jelly, AngularJS, HTML/CSS, Flow Designer, Workflow, Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes, and UI Actions
• Experience with IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP web services, MID Servers, and OAuth configurations
• Strong adherence to ITIL v4 framework (ITIL certification preferred)
• Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
• ServiceNow Certified Master Architect (CMA) or Certified Application Developer (CAD)
• Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in ITSM, ITOM, or related modules
• ITIL 4 Foundation (or higher)
