The opportunity

As Trainee - Improvement Process, you will be responsible for learning and onboarding in various programs and functions across the organization in 6 months spells, seeking to further comprehension of the company and its workings for accelerated growth and progression within the organization. Key areas of responsibility include: Shadowing and working with individuals within various organizational roles, learning complex skills and inner company comprehension, including but not limited to site experience, product training and mentorship program work. Demonstrating a high technical comprehension, including strong aspects of a conceptual and analytical mindset, proving an ability to innovate and improve processes where necessary. Maintaining a close and strong relationship with all colleagues and stakeholders, showing a true ability to lead and motivate others. Proving a high-level comprehension of the company’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility where applicable, typically achieving discipline within a given role after approximately twelve months. An Entry Professional (P1) applies broad theoretical job knowledge typically obtained through advanced education. May require the following proficiency: Work is closely supervised. Problems faced are not typically difficult or complex. Explains facts, policies and practices related to job area.


How you’ll make an impact      

   

You will play a critical role in supporting the Continuous Improvement team in driving operational excellence through the application of Lean, Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and process improvement methodologies. The role is designed to develop technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills while contributing to productivity, quality, delivery, cost, and safety improvement initiatives. The trainee will gain hands-on experience in data analysis, process mapping, root cause analysis, and project execution. This aligns with the organization's focus on enhancing efficiency, reducing waste, improving quality, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

 

Key Responsibilities:


Continuous Improvement Projects


  • Support Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and operational excellence projects.
  • Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and support functions.
  • Participate in project teams to improve productivity, quality, delivery performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Collect and validate project data and assist in preparing project documentation.

Process Analysis & Optimization


  • Conduct process mapping and value stream mapping exercises.
  • Identify waste, bottlenecks, and non-value-added activities.
  • Support implementation of standardized work and process optimization initiatives.
  • Assist in monitoring improvement actions and sustainability plans.

Data Analysis & Reporting


  • Collect, analyze, and interpret operational data.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and KPI tracking tools.
  • Support performance reviews by providing trend analysis and improvement insights.
  • Maintain project trackers and improvement databases.

Problem Solving


  • Participate in structured problem-solving activities using:
    • PDCA
    • DMAIC
    • 5 Why Analysis
    • Fishbone Diagram
    • Pareto Analysis
    • A3 Problem Solving
  • Assist teams in investigating root causes and implementing corrective actions.

Lean & Six Sigma Deployment


  • Support Lean awareness and training programs.
  • Participate in Kaizen events, Gemba walks, and workshops.
  • Assist in promoting a culture of continuous improvement and employee engagement.
  • Support Lean Six Sigma certification activities and project reviews.

Documentation & Governance


  • Maintain improvement project records and lessons learned.
  • Support development of work instructions, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with company quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background
 


  • A bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Software engineering, Computer Science and, Management Information Systems or a related field.
  • Fresh Graduate with basic knowledge of Continuous Improvement Projects, Data Analysis and Reporting, Problem Solving, and Documentation.
  • Proficiency in both spoken & written in English & Arabic language is required.
