Are you studying marketing, communications, digital media, or commercial economics and looking for an internship where you'll do more than just observe?
At the European Hematology Association (EHA), you'll join a team of experienced marketing and communications professionals and gain hands-on experience delivering digital campaigns, managing online communities, creating content, and analysing performance. Your work will help connect healthcare professionals across Europe and support initiatives that ultimately contribute to better patient care.
This is a practical internship where you'll be trusted with real projects, supported by an experienced team, and exposed to the full marketing journey from planning through to execution and reporting.
What you’ll be doing
As a Digital Marketing Intern, you’ll work across a wide range of marketing activities, including:
Digital Campaigns
Support the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns across email, social media, web, and community channels.
Help coordinate campaign assets and schedules.
Learn how integrated campaigns are built, managed, and measured.
Content and Storytelling
Support the creating and publication of content for digital channels.
Assist with social media planning and content calendars.
Help ensure consistent messaging and branding across platforms.
Community Management
Help manage EHA’s online Community Platform.
Engage with members and support initiatives that encourage participation and discussion.
Identify opportunities to improve the member experience and platform engagement.
Analytics and Insights
Track campaign performance and engagement metrics.
Prepare repots and dashboards.
Turn data into practical recommendations that help improve future campaigns.
Research and Innovation
Keep an eye on digital marketing trends, emerging platforms, and best practices.

Bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the team.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with colleagues across marketing, membership, education, events, and digital teams.
Contribute to projects that support EHA’s strategic objectives.

An internship allowance of €775 gross per month (based on 40 hours).
A placement of 3 to 6 months.
A working week of 32 to 40 hours.
You must be enrolled at a recognised educational institution during the internship.
You must be living in the Netherlands.
Non-EU/EEA nationals must have the right to work in the Netherlands.
This is a work-experience internship ("meewerkstage").
You should be available to start in September or October and commit to at least three months.
You are:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or HBO programme in Marketing, Digital Media, Communications, Commercial Economics, or a related field.
Curious about digital marketing and eager to learn.
Comfortable working with multiple projects at the same time.
Organised, proactive, and willing to take initiative.
A strong communicator with excellent English language skills.
Interested in working in an international environment.
Bonus points if you have experience with
Social media content creation
Canva, Photoshop, video editing, or basic design tools
Email marketing platforms
SEO or web content management
Analytics tools such as Google Analytics or similar platforms
No prior professional experience is required. We are looking for motivated learners with the right attitude.
