The School of Law,established in2025, evolved from the former Graduate School of Business and Law. Situated in the historic Emily McPherson Building, it offers RMIT law students an engaging and dynamic learning environment, enriched bystate-of-the-art resources, experienced teaching staff, and strong industry connections. 

 
As one of four schools within RMIT’s College of Business and Law, the School delivers the Bachelor of Laws (including double degrees) and the Juris Doctor program, both accredited by the Victorian Legal Admissions Board. 

 

Committed to excellence in teaching and research, theSchool prepares students for the demands of the legal profession and beyond. Its curriculum covers all core law subjects, complemented by a wide range of electives and practical skills development, including advocacy, interviewing, and negotiation simulations. TheSchool also fosters a collegial and supportive community that encourages both academic and professional growth.

1- Please outline what type of work you would be interested in:  
• Teaching  
• Marking  
• Online Teaching (available onlyfor sessional teachers based in Victoria) 

2- Please briefly outline your academic and/or professional experience. 

3- If you are interested in tutoring or teaching, please provide a summary of your teaching ability and your capacity to engage students positively and constructively. 

4- If you would like to be considered for future casual research opportunities, please briefly outline your research interest. 

Please note: The volume, nature and availability of sessional teaching will vary based on the needs of the school including course offerings,timetabling and student demand. 

 
Although our needs and vacanciesregularly change, there are opportunities that exist across our programs. Bysubmitting anapplication, you will be included into a Talent Pool that will be reviewed across the year and may not guarantee a position.
