UX Design Instructors or Subject Matter Experts

Who We Are:
Next Level Academy (NXTLVL) is a new type of learning institution in Manila, Philippines focused on teaching the most up-to-date technology skills. NXTLVL wants to make learning more accessible, and provide the skills that people can use to build careers and to chase entrepreneurial dreams. We offer immersive courses in subject matter difficult for the local population to receive in the quality expected from recognized employers.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Plan and deliver, teach a full curriculum/syllabus in web development, five days a week in-person class, for 4 weeks (20 hours of teaching time per week) OR teach two 3-hour part time classes per week for 8-11 weeks. Employment term will be a 3-6 month contract.
• Guide and mentor students through development of an impressive final project that will showcase their abilities to hiring managers and corporations.
• Facilitate a dynamic and collaborative classroom community both inside and outside of the classroom, in addition to labs and office hours.
• Assist operations to develop learning programs that ensure we provide the quality and best experience for our students.
• Work alongside NXTLVL team to attract business partnerships and corporations to hire students upon course completion, provide spending budgets for projects per class.
• Work alongside the NXTLVL team to best understand the market, meet the needs and learning styles of NXTLVL students.

• You are a talented individual who loves what they specialize in and are eager to educate, motivate the minds, and skill sets of a new generation of UX visual designers.
• You have the drive to help Filipinos become leaders in tech and support the country’s start-up ecosystem by making it possible for people to learn, advance in, and apply high-value technology skills.
• You are the type of person who is approachable that colleagues and students can come to when they are trying to solve something or require assistance.
• You have significant, practical experience internationally, at least 2+ years of professional industry experience with UI and UX design.
• You have fluency or sufficient proficiency in the following: visual design, UX process, mobile UX, UX analysis, HTLM/CSS, user research/personas, usability testing, information architecture, wire-framing, prototyping, and interface design.
• You have previous teaching experience in UX design through managing a team, team training, course instruction, tutoring, private lessons etc.
