Position Summary:This position serves to assist the Music & Worship ministry in carrying out Denton BibleChurch's mission and message through music. In addition, performs administrative dutiesrelated to the Music & Worship ministry.
Essential Duties:- Assist Worship Pastor with weekly orchestra rehearsals, choir rehearsals, and Sundayworship services.- Create arrangements and orchestrations for the choir and orchestra.- Work with Adobe Creative Suite to create a weekly newsletter to choir and orchestra- Coordinate maintenance of the ever-growing music library and equipment, includingmusic materials, supplies, instruments, etc.- Assist Worship Pastor with worship service preparations and implementation.- Perform day-to-day administrative tasks related to the Music Ministry.- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:- Bachelor's degree in Music or related field- Ability to work with Word, Excel, and Finale, and Adobe Creative Suite- Solid understanding of music theory- Ability to play at least one musical instrument- Ability to direct and lead choir or other ensembles
