Yard Worker

We are constantly growing and currently looking for a Yard Worker!

Purpose: The position is responsible for the general organization of MPP yard and other storage areas, as well as pick-ups and deliveries of materials and parts. This is the perfect entry level position for a future career in the trades!

Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Shop teams to create a safe and positive working environment
• Perform vehicle and trailer daily CVSE inspections
• Operate vehicle in a safe manner adhering to all vehicle laws
• Complete pick-up and deliveries
• Unloading, receiving, and putting away of raw materials
• Unloading, receiving and allocating outsourced material to staging bins
• General clean-up and maintenance of yard, storage racks, and related equipment
• Transport of material and parts to workstations
• Operation of saw for cutting material as relief for vacation and sick time of saw operator(s)
• Other duties as may be assigned

Work Environment

• Indoors/outdoors: all areas of MPP/Crown West business operations including Machine and Fabrication Shop, Service and Assembly Shop, company vehicles
  
• Eye protection and steel toe boots required on site
• Continuing education programs may be offered on an as needed basis
• Hours of operation are 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday

Qualifications

• Post-Secondary Training is an asset
• Experience in related employment is an asset
• High School graduate, Grade 12
• Safety training, safe work habits
  
• Minimum valid class 5 drivers license with clean abstract
