MuleSoft Architect – Job Description
Role Overview
A MuleSoft Architect is responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. This role ensures scalable, secure, and high-performing APIs and integrations across enterprise systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end integration architecture using MuleSoft products.
- Define API-led connectivity strategies (System, Process, Experience layers).
- Lead the implementation of APIs, integrations, and microservices.
- Establish best practices for API design, governance, and security.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Review code and provide technical guidance to developers.
- Manage deployment strategies (CloudHub, on-premise, hybrid).
- Ensure performance optimization, monitoring, and troubleshooting of integrations.
- Define CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices for MuleSoft projects.
- Maintain documentation for architecture and integration flows.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform (CloudHub, API Manager, DataWeave).
- Expertise in API design (REST, SOAP, RAML/OpenAPI).
- Hands-on experience with DataWeave transformations.
- Knowledge of integration patterns and messaging systems (JMS, Kafka).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with security standards (OAuth 2.0, JWT, SAML).
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Proficiency in Java and related technologies.
- Experience with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Maven).
Preferred Qualifications
- MuleSoft certifications (e.g., MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect).
- Experience in enterprise integration projects.
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
