MSB Customer Service Representative

GENERAL FUNCTION: 

Supports the MSB Department by responding to customer requests and completing daily, periodic, and project-based responsibilities for

Republic Bank of Chicago while ensuring the MSB Department follows all applicable laws and regulations of the Bank and MSB Policies and

Procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Customer Service - Meeting and exceeding customers’ various expectations and solving customer problems and inquiries:
   1. Preparing new account documentation
   2. Open new accounts on the FIS platform
      1. Statement instructions and rendering
   3. Prepare account files.
   4. Order supplies including:
      1. Checks
      2. Deposit tickets
      3. Endorsement stamps                                                             
   5. Manual Wire transfers
   6. Account transfers
   7. Help maintain customer account lists (focus to sell web products)
   8. Cash ordering set-up:
      1. Emergency cash orders
      2. Set ordering limits.
   9. Loan payment and line of credit advance/repayment processing.
   10. Research on inquiries concerning cash deliveries, pick-ups, errors in debits or credits posting to accounts.
   11. Issuing provisional credits
2. Other office work as needed including:
   1. Copying, faxing, scanning
   2. Account maintenance including changes of address, billing errors, etc.
   3. Special projects
3. Forgery / Fraud Related Requests
   1. Process incoming claims through the MSB Client Portal
   2. Process both Incoming and Outgoing Forgery and Mobile Deposit Claims
   3. Reclamations

• • Achieve goals as set forth by SVP / MSB Operations, which corresponds with the bank-wide budget.
  • Capacity to work in a fast-paced and proactive environment while adding value for our clients.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• High School Degree or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of industry, especially operations, with direct experience in the industry preferred.
• Basic office computer skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to meet deadlines.
