Job Summary

In accordance with the Mission, Core Values and Vision; the Enrollment Advisor functions within the mission and strategic plan of Mount Carmel College of Nursing. Works cooperatively with the Dean of Students Services and Enrollment Management and staff to implement College recruitment strategic plan including recruitment/outreach, admissions decision-making, planning, interviewing, coordinating recruitment activities such as campus visit programs, working with external and internal constituencies and developing and maintaining accurate records.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required

License / Certification: N/A

Experience: Experience in college recruitment and admissions, marketing, public relations and/or counseling

Effective Communication Skills

Strong computer skills required with some database management.

Ability to work independently and as part of an office team.

Must be a self-starter and problem solver.

Ability to analyze data and make recommendations.

Must have a valid Ohio driver’s license with good driving record maintained.

Requires use of a personal vehicle with valid auto insurance.

Ability to travel throughout state of Ohio.

Ability to work some evenings and weekends.

Relationship-based Care: Creates a caring and healing environment that keeps the patient and family at the center of care throughout their experience at Mount Carmel following the principles of our interdisciplinary care delivery system.

(For patient care providers) Provides nursing care, ensures an environment of patient safety, promotes evidence-based practice and quality initiatives, and exhibits professionalism in nursing practice within the model of the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®.

Assumes responsibility and accountability for institutional diversity and cultural competence.

Required to visit high schools, attend college fairs, and plan receptions/college visits and other events.

Represents Mount Carmel College of Nursing to prospective students from first recruitment contact to enrollment.

Interviews candidates for admission to Mount Carmel College of Nursing. Evaluates credentials (admission essay, test scores, etc.) submitted by applicants.

Monitors the receipt of applications from the territory and determines the next best steps in the recruitment process for each applicant.

Makes admissions decisions based on student academic credentials and other relevant factors.

Builds relationships and corresponds with counselors, prospective students and other important audiences.

Answers telephone calls and emails from prospective students and parents.

Cultivate alumni, guidance counselors and other constituencies to assist with the recruitment process.

Updates and verifies prospective student application status and admission requirements.

Utilizes Admissions Modules in student information system to generate reports, as well as data analyses.

Assists with the development of policies and procedures.

Other Job Responsibilities

Participates in College Assembly.

Serves on College committees as assigned.

Responsible for compliance with Organizational Integrity through raising questions and

promptly reporting actual or potential wrongdoing.

All other duties as assigned.
