We are looking for aStaff Equipment Engineer, Mechanicalto join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies.  This role will report to theEquipment Engineering Senior Manager and will be based in Fremont CA.  This is a fully on-site, in office role, 5 days a week. Â
Role and Responsibilities:Â
Support equipment across various manufacturing lines, with differing levels of complexityÂ
Skilled in diagnosing and fixing manufacturing equipmentÂ
Automated EquipmentÂ
Participate in commissioning of new automated equipment and ensure all devices function as designedÂ
Installation, commissioning and support of vision systems for tracking and quality inspectionsÂ
Conducts engineering tasks in mechanical, electrical, and structural systems for testing, material handling, welding, and machining equipmentÂ
Oversee equipment installation as well as start-up and implementation projectsÂ
Develop equipment specifications and documents for the manufacturing assembly, testing and material handling processesÂ
Oversee project timelines, financial planning, and prepare comprehensive status reports for leadershipÂ
Work with vendors, facility engineers, manufacturing engineers, and production teams to manage project implementationÂ
Find ways to boost safety, cut costs, enhance efficiency, and raise qualityÂ
Prepare or approve system as-built drawingsÂ
Willingness to work flexible hours, including off shifts and weekends, as required by business needsÂ
Skills and Experience:  Â
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related disciplineÂ
Manufacturing or Equipment Engineer with 6+ years experience working in a manufacturing environmentÂ
Equipment requirement development and specification writingÂ
Knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standardsÂ
Knowledge of Autocad, Solidworks and MS Office suiteÂ
Strong communication and collaboration skillsÂ
Physical Requirements:Â
Ability to stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours per shiftÂ
Occasionally lift/carry up to 25Â lbsÂ
Use hands and fingers to operate machinery controls and computers throughout the shiftÂ
Visual acuity sufficient for product inspection and reading digital/printed materialsÂ
Hearing ability to detect alarms and communicate effectively with staffÂ
Ability to perform essential tasks with or without reasonable accommodationÂ
Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in required areas (safety glasses, safety-toed boots)Â
