We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead precision injection molding, stamping, and tooling operations for an established manufacturing company in Northeast Ohio.

This position will oversee tool room operations, support high-precision manufacturing processes, and lead engineering and toolmaking teams. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in injection molding, tooling, process optimization, and manufacturing leadership.
 

Location: Greater Cleveland Area, OH (Onsite)
Employment Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire
Compensation: $115,000–$130,000 annually, based on experience

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent

  • 5+ years of injection molding experience, preferably involving connectors or precision components

  • Previous experience managing a tool room and leading toolmaking personnel

  • Strong knowledge of injection molding and stamping tools, including tooling manufacturing, maintenance, and repair

  • Experience specifying, sourcing, and procuring tooling and manufacturing equipment

  • Working knowledge of Arburg and Milacron injection molding machines, including programming and operation

  • Experience with high-precision molding processes and materials, including liquid crystal polymers (LCP)

  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks and mold flow analysis software

  • Proven experience troubleshooting molding processes and resolving technical manufacturing issues

  • Experience implementing automation, material reprocessing, and tooling optimization initiatives

  • Knowledge of process engineering methodologies, including Six Sigma principles

  • Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills

  • Must meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen or permanent resident)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the in-house tool room and toolmaking team

  • Provide technical leadership to molding process engineers and stamping engineers

  • Oversee tooling procurement, manufacturing, maintenance, and repair operations

  • Support precision molding operations utilizing vertical Arburg and horizontal Arburg/Milacron injection molding equipment

  • Oversee tooling and processes supporting high-speed stamping equipment

  • Maintain tight-tolerance manufacturing standards, including tolerances as precise as ±0.0005 inches

  • Identify and implement improvements in molding processes, automation, and material reprocessing to reduce waste

  • Manage tooling and equipment sourcing to meet cost, performance, and lead-time requirements

  • Troubleshoot complex molding and tooling issues to support production quality and efficiency

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to improve manufacturability and product performance

  • Mentor technical personnel and support ongoing team development
