Molder / Press Operator β 3rd Shift
Location: Worcester, MA 01606
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour (base rate)
Shift: 3rd Shift β 9:30 PMβ6:00 AM
Training: First 12 weeks on 1st Shift (training hours to be confirmed)
Hours: 40 hours per week
Work Arrangement: Onsite
Position Overview
We are seeking a Molder / Press Operator to support manufacturing operations in Worcester, MA.
This position involves operating hydraulic, robotic, and manual presses or molding equipment to form manufactured products according to established specifications and quality standards.
The operator will work with various molding materials, perform basic density and quality checks, and utilize measuring instruments, hand tools, and power tools to ensure finished products meet required tolerances.
Important: This is a 3rd-shift position requiring 12 weeks of training on 1st shift before transitioning to the regular overnight schedule.
Key Responsibilities

Operate hydraulic, robotic, and manual presses or molding equipment.

Perform molding and pressing operations to form products into specified shapes.

Work with various molding materials and mixes.

Apply established molding methods, procedures, and pressing techniques.

Compact molding materials into basic product shapes.

Perform basic density testing on initial molded pieces.

Check molded products for dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and conformance to specifications.

Utilize measuring instruments to inspect products.

Operate hand tools, power tools, and tamping equipment as required.

Identify differences in molding materials, pressing techniques, and finishing requirements.

Monitor product quality throughout the molding process.

Follow established manufacturing procedures and work instructions.

Maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Report equipment issues, product defects, or quality concerns.
Required Qualifications
-
Previous manufacturing or production experience involving machinery, presses, or similar equipment is preferred.

Basic understanding of manufacturing equipment and production processes.

Ability to learn molding materials, product characteristics, and pressing techniques.

Ability to use or learn measuring instruments and inspection tools.

Basic mechanical aptitude.

Ability to follow written work instructions and manufacturing procedures.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to perform basic measurements and quality checks.

Ability to work safely around manufacturing machinery.

Ability to complete 12 weeks of training on 1st shift.

Ability to transition to the regular 3rd-shift schedule of 9:30 PMβ6:00 AM.
