We're seeking an experienced Modeling and Simulation Engineer to join a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop, modify, and validateTMAP models to represent mechanical, aerospace, and space‐related systems in support of intelligence analysis.
  • UseMATLAB/Simulink (especiallySimulink) to develop and integrate component‐ and system‐level models and to support analysis workflows.
  • Integrate TMAP and MATLAB/Simulink models with broadermodeling & simulation environments, including AFSIM and other tools when appropriate.
  • Collaborate with a multi‐disciplinary team of engineers, analysts, and government/DoD personnel to:
    • Understand system behavior and mission context
    • Translate analysis requirements into model architectures
    • Quantify and communicate uncertainty, assumptions, and limitations.
  • Apply coding skills (e.g.,Python,C++, or similar languages) to automate workflows, process data, and support model execution.
  • Contribute totechnical documentation andClient‐based reports that describe modeling approaches, input assumptions, and analytical findings.
  • Work within anAgile development environment, using tools such asJira to manage tasks and collaborate effectively.
  • Communicate technical information and results clearly to both technical and non‐technical audiences.

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science degree inMechanical Engineering,Aerospace Engineering, or similar engineering discipline with2+ years of relevant experience;or a Master of Science degree with0 years of relevant experience.
    • Candidates withComputer Science orSoftware Engineering degrees will also be considered, provided they demonstrate strong interest and ability to learn the requiredmechanical/aerospace domain context.
  • U.S. Citizenship with an activeTS/SCI security clearance (and ability to maintain it).
  • Experience usingMATLAB, with strong proficiency inSimulink.
  • Hands‐oncoding experience in one or more languages (e.g.,Python,C++, MATLAB).
  • Demonstrated familiarity withmodeling & simulation of mechanical or aerospace systems.
  • Ability to work bothindependently andcollaboratively within a technical team.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experienceusing or modifying TMAP models
  • Experience withAFSIM or other modeling & simulation platforms (e.g., STK, NGTS, ITASE).
  • Experience working onAgile development teams, including use ofJira.
  • Experience interpreting and working withClient‐based data and reports to inform models.
  • PriorIC/domain experience (working with NASIC/NSIC or similar organizations).
  • Experience documenting complex models and analysis results for technical and non‐technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity withModel‐Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) concepts, SysML, or Cameo.
