Position Overview
We are seeking a Mixer / Rescreener to support manufacturing operations in Worcester, MA.
This position is responsible for preparing, measuring, mixing, screening, and re-screening raw materials used in the manufacturing process. Materials may include abrasive grains, ceramic materials, chemicals, resins, and other compounds.
The Mixer / Rescreener will retrieve and measure materials in varying quantities, operate mixing or screening equipment, and prepare materials for subsequent mixing and molding operations.
This is a hands-on manufacturing position requiring accuracy, attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to safely handle a variety of raw materials and containers.
Key Responsibilities
- Retrieve raw materials required for production.
- Measure and prepare materials in small and large quantities according to production requirements.
- Operate or tend mixing, screening, and re-screening equipment.
- Manually mix or process materials when required.
- Screen and re-screen materials to prepare them for additional processing.
- Prepare bond materials for subsequent mixing and molding operations.
- Work with a variety of materials, including:
- Abrasive grains
- Ceramic materials
- Chemicals
- Resins
- Other manufacturing compounds
- Handle materials stored in various types of containers, including:
- 40-pound containers
- 50-pound bags
- Bulk bags
- Totes
- Large drums
- Hoppers
- Accurately measure materials according to established manufacturing requirements.
- Ensure materials are properly prepared before being transferred to the next stage of production.
- Follow established work instructions and manufacturing procedures.
- Maintain accuracy when measuring, mixing, and handling materials.
- Follow all plant safety procedures and required PPE requirements.
- Maintain a clean and organized production area.
Qualifications
- Previous manufacturing, production, mixing, batching, blending, or material-handling experience preferred.
- Ability to accurately measure and prepare raw materials.
- Basic manufacturing math skills.
- Ability to follow formulas, work instructions, and production procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to safely handle raw materials and manufacturing compounds.
- Comfortable working with powders, grains, resins, chemicals, and similar industrial materials.
- Ability to operate or learn mixing and screening equipment.
- Ability to work in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Ability to handle materials packaged in containers and bags weighing up to approximately 50 pounds.
- Ability to work the full 2nd-shift schedule of 1:30 PM–10:00 PM.
