Sales Engineer-Compressors

Job Purpose

To develop and grow sales of compressors and related industrial equipment by identifying business opportunities, understanding customer technical requirements, preparing appropriate solutions and quotations, and maintaining strong customer relationships.

Key Responsibilities

·Identify and develop new customers and business opportunities for compressors and related equipment.

·Visit industrial customers, project sites, workshops, factories, mines, construction companies, and other potential clients.

·Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable compressor solutions.

·Prepare technical and commercial quotations in coordination with suppliers and internal teams.

·Conduct product presentations and technical discussions with customers.

·Follow up quotations, tenders, and sales opportunities through to closure.

·Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.

·Monitor market trends, competitor activities, customer requirements, and pricing.

·Coordinate with service and technical teams regarding installation, commissioning, maintenance, and after-sales support.

·Prepare sales forecasts, pipeline reports, visit reports, and other sales documentation.

·Participate in tenders, exhibitions, customer demonstrations, and promotional activities.

·Negotiate commercial terms within approved company guidelines.

·Ensure achievement of agreed sales and gross-margin targets.

·Provide customers with accurate technical information and ensure proposed solutions meet their operational requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

·Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.

·2–5 years of experience in technical sales, preferably compressors, air systems, pumps, generators, industrial machinery, or similar equipment.

·Strong understanding of industrial compressed-air systems is an advantage.

·Experience dealing with industrial customers and technical procurement teams.
