Missions Coordinator

Provides administrative and logistical support for the Missions Ministry at Prestonwood Baptist Church (“PBC”) through the coordination of missions, and support of ministry participants, partnerships, and outreach efforts.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing and implementing strategies to effectively administer missions opportunities
• Support the implementation of strategic plans and processes that advance mobilization goals
• Assist in engaging and mobilizing PBC members to serve through local, national, and international missions opportunities
• Support and maintain relationships with new and existing ministry partners as mission opportunities develop
• Assist with logistics and coordination related to missions execution
• Ensure leaders and participants are informed of project requirements and location specific expectations 
• Assist in planning and executing large-scale ministry initiatives and events 
• Coordinate and support ministry participants in accomplishing ministry goals and projects 
• Maintain accurate ministry records and databases related to ministry partners, missions projects, etc.
• Maintain accuracy in the PBC church programming software to enter events 
• Submit check requests, purchase orders, contract requests and other financial related items and ensure compliance with PBC policies 
• Ensure volunteer screening processes are followed
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Requirements:

• Growing relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior as an active member of PBC
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Able to multi-task and prioritize work
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Able to work independently and maintain a high degree of confidentiality
• Proficient user of Microsoft software
• Experience with planning or participating in missions helpful
• Some college, college degree preferred
• Ability to work a Monday-Friday schedule with flexibility to work some evenings, weekends and PBC events as assigned
• Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, occasionally perform physical activities that require moving one's whole body, such as walking, stooping, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting 20 pounds without assistance
