Middleware Administration

Location – Mumbai, Bangalore, Pune, Gurgaon

Mode of working- WFO (Monday to Friday + Alternative Saturday working).

About the Role:

The Middleware Administrator is responsible for installing, upgrading, patching, closing security points, and troubleshooting technical issues for all applications managed by the Bank's IT Middleware Team. The role requires strong hands-on expertise across middleware stacks and excellent problem‐solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

Candidates should have 5–12 years of experience in Middleware Administration (L2 & L3 Support). Responsibilities include:

• Building and implementing middleware solutions to meet business requirements.

• Collaborating with Developers and Architects to define middleware configurations.

• Identifying and applying innovative technologies to enhance existing middleware environments.

• Creating and maintaining documentation for installations, changes, and upgrades.

• Coordinating with Axis teams and support staff on issue resolution, design considerations, and upgrades.

• Performing installations, upgrades, troubleshooting, incident response, and patching within defined timelines.

• Resolving technical issues promptly to improve application performance and functionality.

• Developing strategies for middleware migration, consolidation, and upgrades.

• Assessing system architecture and providing recommendations as needed.

• Establishing standard processes for installation, maintenance, and enhancement of middleware applications.

Role Proficiencies:

Knowledge / Technical Capability

• Strong understanding of middleware products such as IBM MQ, httpd, WebSphere, Tomcat, Client, WebLogic, IIS, JBoss, Nginx and familiarity with cloud infrastructure and services.

• Expertise in provisioning, updating, and patching middleware products in line with organizational policies.

• Ability to assess the criticality and impact of issues and resolve them within SLAs.

• In‐depth understanding of application, infrastructure, and product functionalities, with a working knowledge of network layers.

• Proficiency in handling security, SSL, and vulnerability remediation.
