Position Summary
The Mid-Level Security Engineer supports cybersecurity engineering and operational security activities including control implementation, system monitoring, vulnerability management, and firewall administration.
Key Responsibilities
• Implement security controls and system hardening
• Support vulnerability scanning and remediation
• Monitor security logs and alerts
• Assist with RMF documentation updates (SSP, POA&M, PIA)
• Support firewall management and network security
• Assist with incident response and security investigations
Required Qualifications
• 4–7 years cybersecurity or security engineering experience
• Experience with security monitoring tools and vulnerability scanning
• Understanding of federal security standards
Preferred Certifications
Security+, CySA+, SSCP, CEH
