- Oversee day-to-day operation of Attractions and Recreation areas and ensure the safe delivery of a seamless Guest experience at all aquatic facilities, all recreation activities, and all attractions facilities
- Lead direct reports for assigned team with responsibilities for the daily operations and maintenance of Attractions and Recreation operations
- Provide performance management and guidance to direct reports, including company policies and procedures, attendance and reliability, performance standards and coaching
- Adhere to internal controls policies and procedures and operates according to the Operating Guidelines for Attractions and Recreation areas; responsible for reviewing LOGS for accuracy, identifying gaps and formulate corresponding recommendations to leadership
- Verify required checklists highlighting daily operational tasks and execution of safety requirements are complete and signed
- Complies with the safety competencies, and all company policies and procedures
- Ability to be the first responder or an on-scene commander during emergency situations ensuring safe practices are consistently executed
- Oversee and ensure compliance for self and for leadership team to all safety-related training, in-service rescue/first-aid training, and individual development plans including the learning and development strategy, to ensure desired outcomes are met
- Adhere to all Department budgets
- Ensure the operation meets or exceeds company standards and codes for the Attractions and Recreation operations
- Establish effective processes to ensure delivery of objectives for safety goals and Attractions and Recreation experience
- Be fully qualified as a licensed lifeguard and participate and facilitate all training and operational audits, including in-service training, re-certification, Lifeguard New Hire training, as well as attractions training etc.
- Provide mentorship to all Attractions and Recreation Crew Member roles and assist with development activities as required
- See that accurate reports for cruise counts and other pertinent information is completed, collected and sent shore side for historical data collection
- Maintain/order supplies and equipment for each appropriate area
- Handle Guest issues as they arise
- See that hazardous materials are used and stored properly in operations under their control, including regular inventory and availability SDS
- Handle Crew related paperwork and work with HR ashore on Crew issues and rotations
- See that each Crew Member assigned to their area is qualified, certified, trained, drilled, and fit to meet all required standards and that they have a working knowledge of the rules applicable to their position
- Provides professional and social guidance to subordinates by exemplary personal behavior
- Liaison with vendors and shipboard Engineering partners
- Emergency Duties as specified in the ship Assembly Stations and Emergency Functions Plan
- SMS - uphold the general safety management responsibilities in areas and operations under their control
