Mergers & Acquisitions Resource Attorney
About the Role
Our client is seeking a Mergers & Acquisitions Resource Attorney to support its M&A practice through knowledge management, precedent development, legal updates, training support, and practice innovation.
This is a non-billable attorney role designed for an experienced M&A lawyer who enjoys drafting, organizing, researching, and improving internal resources that help transactional attorneys work more efficiently and stay current on market and legal developments.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain and update the M&A transaction database, including inputting deal terms and coordinating quality control

Draft, revise, organize, and manage M&A forms, templates, precedents, and practice resources

Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting M&A practice and prepare internal updates

Support attorney education by helping develop training content for associates and practice group members

Partner with marketing and business development teams on M&A-related content, pitches, presentations, and articles

Respond to attorney requests for precedents, templates, market data, and other practice resources

Support knowledge management, resource development, and practice innovation initiatives

Assist with additional practice group projects as needed
Required Qualifications

Licensed attorney with 4+ years of experience in a U.S. M&A corporate or transactional practice

Strong understanding of public and private M&A transactions

Familiarity with corporate governance, board fiduciary duties, and M&A market trends

Excellent drafting, editing, research, and organizational skills

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects

Experience in the corporate department of a national or international law firm preferred
Preferred Skills

Experience managing forms, precedents, or knowledge management resources

Prior involvement in attorney training, legal education, or practice group resource development

Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with attorneys, knowledge management teams, and marketing teams
