2027 Summer Internship – Alternatives InvestmentOperationsIntern 

Internship positions arelocated at PIMCO’s Newport Beach, CAHeadquarters orPIMCO’s New York City office. 

You’re eligible to apply if you:  

• Pursuing an undergraduate degree 

• Must be able to begin full time employment from a PIMCO office betweenJanuary 2028 – August 2028 

• Must be enrolled at a university during theFall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027) 

• Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university 

• Are business proficient in English

Since launching its first opportunistic credit vehicles over 15 years ago, PIMCO has developed a significant presence in both alternative credit and private investment strategies. Our strategies include those thatseek toidentify value primarily in listed securities, relying on fundamental and capital structure analysis,and also strategies thatseek to privately finance the debt and equity needs of companies, asset holders, and origination platforms. We invest globally across commercial and residential real estate and mortgage credit, performing and distressed corporate debt, and specialty finance markets. 

As anAlternatives Investment OperationsIntern, you will support the smooth operation of PIMCO’salternatives business across relevant funds and accounts.You will collaborate with key partners, including Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and external service providers, to ensure thetimely settlement and management of debt and private equity assets. You will also support transformative strategic initiatives that are being led by the team. 

Alternative Investment OperationsResponsibilities: 

Trade Support & Settlement: support trade execution, settlement, and lifecycle events for alternatives transactions across debt, private equity, real estate, and other non-traditional assets 

Asset Onboarding & Data Integrity: assist with the setup, maintenance, and validation of alternative investment assets, legal entities,counterparty details, and related reference data to supportaccurate downstream processing 

Cross-Functional Coordination: collaborate with Portfolio Management, Legal, Compliance, Finance, custodians, trustees, administrators, and other internal and external partners to resolve operational issues and supporttimely execution 

Process Improvement & Controls:contribute to initiatives that improve operational efficiency, strengthen controls, reduce risk, and enhance the scalability of PIMCO’s alternatives platform

The PIMCO Internship Experience:  

• The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program   

• During Week 1,you’llparticipate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success 

• Alongside your colleagues,participate in PIMCO'sGlobal Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of our employees' worldwide volunteer efforts  

• Join us for a variety of cross-divisional education, networking & social events! 

• Your supervisor, peer mentor, seniorleaders and team offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer 

• You will gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources that help build future ready skills and make an impact from the start 

• You’ll receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals
