Tesla is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Engineer (m/w/d) for Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg to support the owner’s representative in building-permit and inspection processes. The role focuses on preventive and technical fire protection for ventilation, smoke-exhaust and fire-damper systems, and on documentation that authorities and external inspection bodies can review without gaps.

What You’ll Do

• Assist the owner’s representative on permit and approval workflows for life-safety systems, including preventive fire protection through the building-permit process
• Advance approval of technical fire-protection systems — in particular ventilation, smoke exhaust, and fire dampers — and, where they affect the permit, extinguishing and fire-alarm systems
• Prepare, compile, and consolidate system documentation from several trades into consistent, review-ready packages for external inspection bodies and authorities, and maintain the filing structure used for handover
• Act as the interface between internal stakeholders, contractors, authorities, and inspection bodies
• Join internal pre-inspections, track deficiency close-out in internal status reports, and help project managers across disciplines close findings after external inspections
• Review and correct system descriptions with the responsible system and project owners
• Coordinate open items with construction, quality, and commissioning so no permit-related punches remain before inspection

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in building services, supply engineering (Versorgungstechnik) or mechanical engineering, or a comparable qualification
• 3 to 5 years of work experience in TGA / MEP design with a focus on ventilation, preferably in Germany
• Understanding of HOAI service phases 1 to 5, including ventilation concepts, ductwork design and specifications
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit and AutoCAD; experience with ventilation calculation tools is an advantage
• Understanding of technical fire protection for ventilation systems, such as fire dampers and smoke exhaust; related training is a plus
• Experience with site reviews and defect close-out; industrial or large-building experience is nice to have, but not a must
• Good communication skills in German and English, and a structured, documentation-disciplined way of working
