About the Role 

We are looking for a Member of Technical Staff to design, build and operate cloud-native, data-intensive systems. You will own production capabilities end to end, working across backend services, APIs, integrations and data pipelines. 

We are also adopting AI-assisted development across our engineering workflow and expect you to use these tools effectively while maintaining high standards for quality, security and maintainability. 

What You'll Do 

•  Design and build backend services, APIs, integrations and data pipelines using Go and Python. 

•  Own features and technical improvements from design through implementation, deployment and production support. 

•  Build reliable software for distributed, cloud-native and data-intensive systems. 

•  Work with Kubernetes, containers and cloud infrastructure. 

•  Write well-tested, maintainable code and participate actively in design and code reviews. 

•  Diagnose production issues, identify root causes and implement durable fixes. 

•  Use modern AI development tools across implementation, testing, debugging and code exploration, while taking responsibility for the resulting code. 

•  Contribute to technical decisions and identify opportunities to simplify systems and improve engineering practices. 

What We're Looking For 

•  Strong professional experience of 6-9 years building and operating backend software in production. 

•  Strong programming skills in Go, Python or both. 

•  Experience building APIs, distributed services and data-processing systems. 

•  Experience with cloud-native architectures, Kubernetes and containers. 

•  Experience with relational databases and sound data-modeling practices. 

•  Understanding of asynchronous or event-driven systems and common distributed-system failure modes. 

•  Strong fundamentals in automated testing, CI/CD, observability, security and production troubleshooting. 

•  Ability to independently own substantial features and make sound technical decisions within a broader architecture. 

•  Clear communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers across teams. 

Nice to Have 

•  Experience with high-volume data ingestion, processing or integration systems. 

•  Experience with multi-tenant enterprise SaaS applications. 

•  Familiarity with AWS, Terraform, PostgreSQL and modern analytical data platforms. 

•  Experience integrating with external cloud or SaaS APIs. 

•  Experience with metering, billing, usage or other consumption-oriented data. 

•  Experience working with AI/ML platforms, APIs or related data. 

•  Practical experience using AI development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot or Cursor.
