- Youth DevelopmentÂ
- Create a Club environment that supports and facilitates the achievement of the Youth Development Outcomes: Academic Success, Healthy Lifestyles, and Good Character & Citizenship
- Provide guidance and role modeling to all Club membersÂ
- Provide on-site supervision to members to ensure a healthy and safe environmentÂ
- Maintain a positive outlook and attitude with members, and provide constructive feedback on their efforts and progressÂ
- Assist members in building conflict resolution skills and teach them to accept responsibility for their actionsÂ
- Administration
- Maintain the front entrance area of the ClubÂ
- Provide courteous and quality customer serviceÂ
- Greet all individuals that enter the ClubÂ
- Assist members, volunteers, guests, and staff with signing-in, as neededÂ
- Answer phones, listen to voicemails, and return calls as neededÂ
- Respond to Club emailsÂ
- Process and maintain membership applicationsÂ
- Provide general administrative and clerical support to the Club Director, Program Director, and other Club staff as needed in a friendly and cooperative mannerÂ
- Data entry for member system
- Travel between Clubs and/or the Admin Office for trainings and meetingsÂ
- All other duties as assignedÂ
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and loud environmentÂ
- Ability to continuously stand and move around the ClubÂ
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds occasionallyÂ
- EducationÂ
- High School degree or G.E.D. is requiredÂ
- College degree from an accredited college or university is preferred but not requiredÂ
- Work ExperienceÂ
- A minimum of one year’s work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization which includes the supervision of youth and the implementation of programs and activitiesÂ
- SkillsÂ
- A passion and understanding of the mission, objectives, policies, programs, and procedures of BGCKÂ
- Ability to maintain a positive, friendly, and cooperative attitude in the workplaceÂ
- High ethical standardsÂ
- Strong communication skills, both oral and writtenÂ
- Ability to maintain professional relationships with internal staff and external partnersÂ
- An understanding of the needs and interests of young peopleÂ
- Demonstrated knowledge of computers and other office-related technology Â
