Position Summary:
The Medical College of Wisconsin is pleased to announce our search for a full-time Skin & Soft Tissue Malignancy Surgeon within the Department of Surgery, Division of Surgical Oncology. The clinical practice associated with this position will be based at the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Cancer Center and Drexel Town Center Cancer Center, located in Oak Creek, WI. Applicants with a strong academic interest and a focus on training medical students, residents, and fellows are desired as additional responsibilities include academic programmatic growth and undergraduate and graduate medical education. We are comprised of nationally and internationally renowned, dedicated group of faculty and staff with a strong commitment to clinical care.Â

Position Highlights:
- Â Clinical Practice: The successful candidate will maintain an active surgical practice within the Department of Surgery, aligned with their clinical training and subspecialty expertise. Clinical activities will be based primarily at Froedtert Hospital and may extend across the Froedtert ThedaCare Health clinical enterprise and the Clement J. Zablocki VA Medical Center.
- Teaching: Your primary teaching focus will be in the Surgical Oncology Division of the Department of Surgery. You may be asked to participate in the teaching of medical students, surgical residents, fellows and other trainees while attending on the inpatient services at Froedtert Hospital, and all other practice locations of the Surgical Oncology Program. You will also actively participate in the Division activities in support of the general surgery training program and fellowship in Complex General Surgical Oncology.
- Research: Candidates with academic interest including translational research, health services research, implementation science, artificial intelligence, and other academic focus areas are encouraged to apply.
- Academic Achievement: You will be encouraged to participate in research and other scholarly activities; career development will be facilitated by the Division and Department leadership. It is expected that you will author or co-author a minimum of two scholarly contributions per year (abstracts, manuscripts, book chapters, clinical trials, etc.).

- Administration/Service: You will be expected to participate, to the extent that you may be reasonably called upon, in administrative and/or service functions of the Department or hospital or on Department, Institute or MCW committees.
- Your practice assignments and the allocations of your efforts in the below areas may be changed from time to time by the Chair of the Department to meet the health care needs of the patients of MCW’s practice and to meet the missions of MCW for excellence in education, research, patient care and community service.

The Department of Surgery is comprised of 11 divisions, including 9 clinical divisions, a Division of Education, and a Division of Research, including >100 clinical faculty. Under the leadership of the Chair of Surgery, Genevieve Boland, MD, the department is committed to clinical excellence, innovative surgical research, academic achievement/professional development, and surgical education.

The Division of Surgical Oncology includes 16 clinical faculty members whose clinical interests encompass surgical endocrine, breast, skin and soft tissue, gastrointestinal, and hepatobiliary disease management.Â

Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD, DO, or equivalent)Â from an accredited institution.
- Board certification(or eligibility) in General Surgery specialty.
- Fellowship trainingin Complex General Surgical Oncology (CGSO) with a focused interest in Skin & Soft Tissue Malignancy is required.
- State medical licensure,or eligibility to obtain license, in the state of Wisconsin.
- Rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful finalist.
