About the role

As a Medical Imaging Assistant at Lumus Imaging Fairfield, you'll support our radiographers to deliver a smooth, safe and caring experience for every patient. Your day will include:

• Welcoming and preparing patients for their examinations, including changing and escorting them through the department
• Assisting radiographers with patient transfers and positioning support under supervision
• Ensuring patient comfort, safety and dignity, including for anxious and unwell patients
• Maintaining clean, well-stocked rooms and following infection control standards
• Supporting the front desk and clinical team to keep the day running on time
• Observing a wide range of examinations to build your clinical knowledge

About you

• Currently enrolled in the 3rd or 4th year of a Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science (or equivalent radiography degree)
• Committed to building your career in diagnostic imaging, with the goal of joining us as a graduate
• A patient-first approach, with a warm, calm and professional manner
• Strong communication skills and a genuine team-player attitude
• Reliable, punctual and happy to take feedback on board
• Availability to work shifts around your study commitments
