Medical Imaging Assistant

About the role
Lumus Imaging is seeking a Medical Imaging Assistant to join their dynamic healthcare team at our Highfields site in Port Macquarie.

This role is a maternity leave contract (10-11 months) and can be offered as either full-time or part-time (4-5 days per week), with working hours 8am-4.30pm.

This role would suit best for a Medical Radiation Science Student.

What you'll get to do

• Assist technical staff in asking patients critical questions and obtaining their medical history
• Assist in preparing and positioning patients undergoing MRI, CT and ultrasound examinations
• Work collaboratively with the radiography team to deliver exceptional patient care

Skills and Experience

• Ability to work in a team environment, within a hospital environment
• Empathetic and clear communication skills
• Availability for extended trading hours and weekends
• Ability to assist patients with additional needs
• Keen interest in medical imaging, with students of Radiography encouraged to apply
