We are currently seeking a full-time Medical Directorto join our team at theColumbia Correctional InstitutioninLake City, FL. This position will also provide direct patient care at theColumbia Annexand theBaker Re-entry Centerlocated inSanderson, FLweekly.

Schedule:Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

TheMedical Director provides the clinical direction needed to meet service delivery requirements, direct clinical services for patients, and clinical supervision for medical staff at the assigned site under the supervision of the Statewide Medical Director. The Medical Director collaborates with the Health Services Administrator (HSA) to ensure efficient and clinically appropriate medical services are provided, and participates in various committees to include Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI), Infection Prevention and Control, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics as requested.

Qualifications

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school required
• Active and unrestricted MD/DO license or the ability to obtain one required
• Must show/be able to obtain active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration
• Leadership/directorship experience preferred
• Ability to pass credentialing and background check
