• Monday through Friday; Start time rotates between 6:45 AM and 7:30 AM -8-hour shifts
• Occasional Saturdays (about 2–3 times per year)

Role Overview

As a Medical Assistant, you play a vital role in supporting providers and nursing leadership to deliver compassionate, high-quality patient care. Your administrative and clinical tasks ensure a seamless patient experience, from greeting and preparing patients to assisting during examinations and procedures. Your work directly impacts the efficiency and effectiveness of patient care in our ambulatory setting.

What You Will Do

• Greet and escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable experience.
• Obtain and record accurate medical histories and vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, following established protocols.
• Assist providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Perform administrative tasks to support the clinical team and enhance patient care.

What You Will Need

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program with completion of a formal clinical externship (160-hour minimum), OR
  • Graduate from a Medical Assistant program without completion of a clinical externship but with a minimum one-year experience in clinical medical assisting within the past five years, OR
  • Current Professionally Recognized Medical Assistant Certification with a minimum of one year of experience in clinical medical assisting, OR
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), OR
  • Licensed Paramedic/Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years, OR
  • Military trained medical personnel with at least one-year clinical experience in a clinical medical setting within the past five years.
• Current BLS-C upon hire or successful completion by the end of orientation.

Preferred Qualifications

• Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
• EPIC (Electronic Medical Record) experience.
