Mechanical & Thermal Battery Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced engineer to develop methodologies for characterizing the mechanical and thermal performance of battery materials, components, and cells.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop test methodologies to characterize mechanical and thermal performance of battery materials, components, and cells.
• Design test protocols and standards for battery-level performance evaluation.
• Work with 3rd party labs to address testing gaps and bring up testing methods.
• Collaborate with testing technicians to ensure proper execution of test plans.
• Analyze and report on test results to inform engineering decisions.

Qualifications

• MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3 years of experience, or BS with 5+ years of experience.
• Demonstrated experience developing methodologies for mechanical and thermal characterization of battery materials/components/cells.
• Strong background in battery testing standards and best practices.
