Mechanical Integrity Coordinator - Decatur, ILPosition Summary
The Mechanical Integrity Coordinator supports the MI Lead in the day-to-day execution and coordination of the site's Mechanical Integrity Program. This role helps with inspection planning, compliance tracking, and asset data management, and coordinates with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and inspection contractors.
The MI Coordinator ensures inspection activities are planned, executed, documented, and tracked while maintaining compliance with regulatory and company requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Program Coordination
- Coordinate daily execution of the Mechanical Integrity Program.
- Track inspection due dates, compliance requirements, and corrective actions.
- Assist the MI Lead as a point of contact for routine Mechanical Integrity requests.
- Coordinate inspection schedules with Operations and Maintenance teams.
- Develop and maintain inspection schedules for fixed equipment assets.
- Coordinate access, isolation, cleaning, and preparation activities required for inspections.
- Ensure inspection reports are reviewed, distributed, and properly documented.
- Monitor completion of inspection recommendations and repairs.
- Maintain equipment records within the IDMS and CMMS.
- Verify inspection data, equipment hierarchy, and asset documentation accuracy.
- Support development and maintenance of Inspection Test Plans (ITPs).
- Ensure new assets are properly established within Mechanical Integrity systems.
- Monitor overdue inspections, PMs, and compliance metrics.
- Support annual Mechanical Integrity audits and assessments.
- Maintain documentation required for OSHA PSM and company compliance programs.
- Assist with jurisdictional inspections and insurance audits.
- Participate in equipment walkdowns and condition assessments.
- Assist in failure investigations and leak reviews involving fixed equipment.
- Identify equipment not currently covered by the MI program and initiate corrective actions.
- Verify temporary repairs and integrity-related action item closure.
- Develop and maintain MI dashboards and KPI reports.
- Track inspection completion rates, overdue activities, and corrective action status.
- Communicate program status and risks to MI Lead.
- Support budgeting and forecasting for inspection activities.
- Coordinate turnaround inspection scopes.
- Track inspection findings and repair recommendations during outages.
- Ensure documentation and records are completed following turnaround activities.
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Mechanical Integrity, Inspection, Reliability, Maintenance, or Fixed Equipment programs.
- Working knowledge of OSHA PSM Mechanical Integrity requirements.
- Experience with inspection management systems and CMMS platforms.
- Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Inspection Technology, or related technical field preferred.
- API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector or NBIC Commissioned Inspector
- API 653 and/or STI SP001 Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector Certification
- API 570 Piping Inspector Certification
- Experience with Maximo or SAP.
- Experience with IDMS platforms such as Visions, PCMS, Credo, Meridium, or PSAim.
- Familiarity with RBI methodologies.
- Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, Excel, or data analytics tools.
- Project management experience coordinating implementation of inspection, reliability, or asset management systems.
- Regulatory compliance performance.
- Inspection completion rates.
- Reduction of overdue inspections and PMs.
- Data quality within IDMS and CMMS systems.
- Timely closure of integrity-related corrective actions.
- Successful execution of turnaround inspection scopes.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
