Position Overview

The Mechanical Engineer (Senior/Mid-Level) will provide mechanical engineering support involving design calculations, drawing and calculation checking, component specifications and vendor evaluation, and design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Perform design calculations.
• Review and check engineering drawings and calculations.
• Develop component specifications.
• Perform vendor evaluations.
• Participate in design reviews.
• Support mechanical design of process equipment.
• Perform structural support and anchorage design.
• Check and approve nuclear-quality design deliverables.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 10+ years of mechanical design experience with process equipment.
• Experience withASME B31.3 andASME BPVC Section VIII.
• Experience withstructural support and anchorage design.
• Checker/approver experience onnuclear-quality design deliverables.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience withhigh-temperature systems (>1,000°F) orliquid-metal systems.
• Experience withhot cell / remote handling equipment.
• Experience withseismic qualification
