Key Responsibilities:
- Shift:MIDS – 11:00 PM–7:00 AM | AFTS – 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
- Provide daily maintenance engineering support forEngine Assembly andAxle Assembly operations.
- Work directly on the manufacturing floor to troubleshoot equipment, tooling, and process issues.
- Support skilled trades personnel with technically complex equipment breakdowns and troubleshooting.
- Diagnose recurring equipment problems and develop long-term corrective solutions.
- Review station-level engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
- Develop recommended spare-parts lists for production equipment.
- Develop and implementPreventive Maintenance (PM) procedures for existing and new equipment.
- Develop and implement tooling and equipment modifications required for product changes.
- Develop and improve assembly process methods.
- Support equipment procurement by working with purchasing teams and external suppliers.
- Perform or support equipment certification, includinggages, torque guns, and leak testers.
- Provide technical guidance and coaching to assemblers, supervisors, and skilled trades personnel.
- Occasionally provide supervision or coordination of skilled trades activities.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing recurring equipment failures and improving production reliability.
- Maintain technical knowledge of current manufacturing technologies and equipment.
- Participate in a rotating weekend production-support schedule.
- Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, engineering, suppliers, and other technical teams.

- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology.
- 8+ years of applicable experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Minimum3 years of manufacturing experience in an assembly environment.
- Hands-on experience supporting production equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and methods of manufacture.
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with production and maintenance teams.
- Proficiency with PC hardware and commercially available software.
- Ability and willingness to work the assigned shift, overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays.
- Experience withAutoCAD LT.
- Experience withKUKA and FANUC robots.
- Experience programming and troubleshootingtorque tooling.
- Knowledge of fastening systems and torque-control equipment.
- Experience with compressors and related production equipment.
- Experience with pressing operations, includingKistler and Promess hardware.
- Experience with equipment certification and calibration.
- Experience with Siemens products.
- Experience working in aunion manufacturing environment.
- Project management or supervisory experience.
- Experience with virtual machines and related technical systems.
- Hands-on manufacturing / production support experience
- Experience working with KUKA and FANUC robots
- Experience with fastening and torque tools
- Core Functions:
- 70% – Daily Production / Line Support
- 30% – Engineering Projects / Continuous Improvement
