We are currently searching for an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a client in Oklahoma.
Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering projects within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Other duties contained in subordinate job descriptions may also be required from time to time in order to carry out the duties and responsibilities of this job.
Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to projects requirements.
Assigns project personnel to specific phases or aspects of projects such as technical studies, system design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and system testing.
Reviews projects design for compliance with engineering principles, codes, industry standards, company standards, and customer contract requirements and related specifications.
Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems.
Directs integration of technical activities and projects.
Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. Controls expenditures within limitations of project budgets.
Prepares interim, completion, and other miscellaneous project reports. Prepares and/or reviews Opinions of Probable Construction Cost for projects.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops CADD standards and procedures for review and approval by management. Administers implementation and maintenance of CADD standards and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
You will carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with our client's organization's policies. Responsibilities training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Coordinates with electrical department employees in the project team to ensure engineering quality goals and project requirements and delivery schedules are met.QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Master's degree (M.A.) in engineering or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
