The Automotive Mechanic Technician II performs high-quality maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on fleet vehicles. This role delivers exceptional customer service whileensuringvehiclesafety,reliability,andcost-effectiveoperations.Thetechnicianworksindependentlyandcollaborativelywithinateamenvironmenttomaintainfleetreadinessandsupportbusinessobjectives.
PrimaryDuties&Responsibilities
VehicleMaintenance&Repair
Performpreventivemaintenanceservices,includingoilchanges,filterreplacements,transmissionservices,andcomprehensivevehicleinspections.
Diagnoseandrepairmechanical,electrical,hydraulic,anddrivelinesystems.
Perform intermediate-to-advanceddiagnosticsandtroubleshootingtoidentifyvehicledeficiencies.
CompleterepairsbasedonASEcertificationlevelandskillset,whichmayinclude:
OBD-IIsystems
Brakesystems
Tiresandalignments
Suspensioncomponents
Electricalsystems
Engineanddrivetraincomponents
Tune-ups
Interiorandexteriorvehiclecomponents
Statesafetyinspections
Aerialliftequipment
FleetEquipmentSupport
Maintainandrepairfleet-relatedequipmentsuchascabletrailers,laptopdockingstations,generators,andspecializedvehiclecomponents.
Troubleshootandrepaircomplexhydraulicsystems,hybridsystems,onboardcomputers,andotherspecializedequipment.
Assistwithvehicleupfittingandinstallationofrequiredequipmentandaccessories.
Documentation&Compliance
Accuratelydocumentvehicleinspections,repairs,andmaintenanceactivities.
Maintaincompletevehicleservicehistoriesandmaintenancerecords.
Followallcompanysafetystandards,environmentalregulations,andshopprocedures.
Properlyhandleanddisposeoffluidsandhazardousmaterialsinaccordancewithapplicableregulations.
CustomerService&OperationalExcellence
Ensurerepairsarecompleted the first time correctlythroughthoroughinspectionsandqualityworkmanship.
Coordinatewithvendors to procure parts and manageoutsourcedrepairsasneeded.
Provideroadsideassistancewhenrequired.
Maintainaclean,organized,andsafeworkenvironment.
Demonstrateinitiativebyidentifyingandaddressingmaintenanceneedswithoutdirectsupervision.
Performadditionaldutiesasassignedbyleadership.
RequiredQualifications
Education
HighSchoolDiplomaorGED - preferred
Licenses&Certifications
Safe drivers needed; valid driver’s license required

Experience
2-3yearsofvehiclemaintenanceandrepairexperiencerequired.
Previouscustomerserviceexperiencepreferred.
