What you’ll be doing:

  • Follow and comply with all company Environmental, Health and Safety procedures, including the work permit system, LOTOTO and risk assessments, to ensure the safety of yourself and others.

  • Follow instructions from supervisors and complete assigned tasks effectively and in a timely manner.

  • Support mechanical maintenance activities across key process areas, including the stucco silo, wet and dry additives, pulp and glue systems, mixer, setting belt, open roller conveyors, shear and tipple conveyor.

  • Carry out preventive maintenance in line with the planned schedule for assigned equipment, update SAP PM orders accurately, and arrange the required spare parts where necessary.

  • Adhere closely to the preventive maintenance plan to minimise equipment breakdowns and production disruption.

  • Monitor equipment failures and make recommendations or improvements to prevent recurrence.

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, standard forms and maintenance procedures accurately.

  • Identify opportunities to improve plant processes through modifications and equipment enhancements.

  • Ensure effective one-to-one communication and full shift handover at the end of each working day.

  • Contribute to strong individual and team performance while complying with company policies and procedures.

  • Manage spare parts for the assigned area and maintain accurate records in the spare parts issue register.

  • Develop computer skills and maintain accurate shift log entries and SAP PM order updates.

  • Update operation and maintenance documentation in line with KIMS standards.

  • Identify energy-saving opportunities and support projects that improve energy efficiency.

  • Maintain clean-as-you-go standards in line with the 5S methodology to promote workplace organisation and efficiency.

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues.
