Measurement Engineer II
Position Summary
Our LNG client is seeking a Measurement Engineer II to support measurement and metering operations at a major LNG facility. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of measurement systems used in plant operations. The successful candidate will work closely with operations, maintenance, engineering, and automation teams to optimize measurement performance, resolve discrepancies, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, maintain, and optimize measurement and metering systems.
- Support flow measurement activities and instrumentation calibration programs.
- Analyze measurement data and provide recommendations to improve operational performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve metering, instrumentation, and measurement system issues.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and company procedures.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, automation, and engineering teams on system improvements and digitalization initiatives.
- Evaluate and recommend upgrades to measurement equipment and related systems.
- Maintain measurement documentation, reports, procedures, and performance records.
- Support measurement audits, inspections, and performance reviews.
- Provide technical guidance on measurement best practices and system reliability.
Qualifications
- LNG facility experience or comparable process/facilities engineering experience.
- Operations experience in an industrial plant environment.
- Strong understanding of flow measurement, metering systems, instrumentation, and calibration practices.
- Experience troubleshooting measurement, metering, and process instrumentation issues.
- Knowledge of applicable measurement standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Experience supporting plant operations, maintenance, and reliability initiatives.
- Familiarity with custody transfer measurement systems.
- Experience with automation, digitalization, or measurement data management systems.
- Additional experience in natural gas processing, gas transmission, refining, petrochemical, or other large-scale industrial facilities.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operational environment.
