We are seeking an experienced and strategicDeputy Country Medical Director to support the Country Medical Director (CMD) in overseeing and continuously enhancing the quality of medical care across theFresenius NephroCare network. This role provides an opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of clinical standards, support patient-centered care, and progressively prepare for future Country Medical Director responsibilities.

Tasks:

  • Support the Country Medical Director in overseeing medical care across the NephroCare network and monitoring clinical performance, quality indicators, and patient outcomes.

  • Gradually assume selected clinical leadership responsibilities in preparation for future Country Medical Director accountability.

  • Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of medical standards and clinical governance across designated centres through collaboration with Clinic Head Doctors.

  • Provide scientific and medical expertise in nephrology and dialysis to internal stakeholders and support Clinical Affairs and Medical Affairs activities.

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of medical education, training initiatives, and scientific exchange programmes for healthcare professionals.

  • Foster effective relationships with healthcare authorities, professional societies, healthcare providers, and the wider nephrology community.

  • Support recruitment, development, and performance management of medical staff in collaboration with country leadership and HR.

  • Identify opportunities for quality improvement, support medical audits, and contribute to the resolution of clinical issues and patient safety concerns.

  • Collaborate with regional and global medical teams on strategic projects, clinical initiatives, and implementation of medical policies and procedures.

  • Support clinical research activities and contribute medical expertise to business, marketing, and operational initiatives where appropriate.

  • Conduct regular visits to dialysis centres to provide guidance, build partnerships, and support the achievement of clinical and strategic objectives.

Requirements:

  • University degree of doctor in Medicine - board certified nephrologist

  • At least 5 years professional experience in equivalent or similar clinical/management function

  • Highly professional attitude characterized by a result, quality, patient and customer-oriented working style

  • High collaboration and empathy to navigate a transitional environment, respect, professional result-oriented style, leadership skills, strong structural approach, ability to manage change and handle organizational diplomacy

  • Serves patients with empathy, compassion and respect

  • Keen understanding of country healthcare sector

  • Sophisticated knowledge of group data, control charts and their interpretation

  • Country language and English fluent as a must (presenting, writing, reading), other European languages besides country language an asset

  • Strong IT user skills (MS Office, EuCliD, PBI, etc)

  • Requires up to 30% national / international travel to support medical engagements and key regional projects.
