Materials Planner

Location: San Antonio, TX 78221

Duration: 12+ months contract

Shift hours: The hours for this position are 5:30am - 4pm Monday-Thursday

Job Description

The plant is making schedule changes effective this week.. They have made the determination to mandatory 10 hour days this week. We normally work 6:30am - 3:30pm (with lunch).

We will transition to 10-hour days in the future. 4/10's M-Th

Consultants are required to wear steel-toed shoes all day.

No jewelry as this is a plant environment.

· Work within a material planning team at the Clients San Antonio manufacturing facility where we build Class 6-8 commericial trucks and EVs.

· Plans, schedules and monitors the movement of material through the production cycle.

· Determines material requirements from engineering and production schedules.

· Coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production and engineering.

· Develops specifications for new contract orders.

· Responsible for procurement business system data input and integrity; creates and maintains bills of material and parts/commodities numbers in supply chain management or other enterprise-wide systems

Desired Skills:

Proficient with MS Office

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Excellent organizational skills and attention to details.

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree and no experience

OR

At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experience
