Job Summary:
Ensure ordering, receiving and distribution of supplies for Hospital while maintaining professional relationships with department, vendors and customers.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

- Assure inventory of supplies is available to meet the needs of our customers.
- Anticipate needs for routine and special order items.
- Assist internal customers in “shopping” for necessary services, supplies, and capital equipment needs in most cost effective and efficient ways possible.
- Develop a budget and operate department in compliance with budget.
- Assist in purchase decisions and coordinate major plans such as furniture and other equipment.

MINIMUM POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Education – High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor degree preferred.
- Work Experience – Three to five years experience in materials management with some supervisory, hospital setting preferred.

ENVIROMENTAL CONDITIONS:Work environment consists of daily patient contact, which may include exposure to blood, or other body fluids.
