Material Planner, Electronics (m/w/d) - Gigafactory Berlin-Brandenburg

What to Expect

We are seeking anexperienced Material Planner to join our dynamic supply chain team, focusing onPCBAs and electronic components. The ideal candidate will focus on PCBAs andelectronic components, should have a strong background in contract manufacturingenvironments, ensuring efficient material planning, inventory management, andsupply chain optimization. This role involves collaborating with engineering,design, production and procurement teams to support product life cyclemanagement, handle engineering changes, and manage clear-to-build and run-outanalysis. This role involves daily management of supply and constraints, statusreporting and escalation, supplier engagement, and the relentless pursuit ofoperational excellence and continuous improvement.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure correctdemand is system driven and properly communicated to external and internalsuppliers. Responsible to conduct clear-to-build analyses to ensure allmaterials, components, and resources are available and in alignment withproduction build plan, identifying, owning and resolving any bottlenecks inadvance
• Develop andmaintain material requirement plans for PCBAs and electronic components, manageinventory levels, and minimize shortages or inventory excess
• Manage product lifecycle processes, including phase-in/phase-out strategies for components,obsolescence planning, and end-of-life (EOL) management to support seamlesstransitions
• Coordinateengineering changes by assessing impacts on material availability, work alongwith the PM on updating BOMs (Bills of Materials), and adjusting procurementplans in alignment with cross functional teams
• Maintain commitsfor contract manufacturing vendors, analyzing their production capabilities,lead times, and constraints to ensure continuous supply. Communicate andmitigate risks in the supply chain, such as supplier delays or componentshortages
• Participate incontinuous improvement initiatives, including ERP system enhancements andsupply chain process improvement to streamline material planningprocesses. Support cross-functional teams in new product introductions(NPIs), ensuring material readiness from prototype to full-scale production
• Develop, Track andReport KPI's to cross functional teams such as CTB, DOH, Inventory Excess,Obsolescence. Own end-to-end data integrity in system to ensure accuratedemand is being transmitted to vendors

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor's Degreein Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a relatedfield (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years ofexperience as a Material Planner or similar role in electronics manufacturing,with a focus on PCBAs and contract manufacturing environments
• Proven expertise inMRP/ERP systems for supply chain
• Strong skills inproduct life cycle management, including handling component obsolescence andEOL transitions
• Advancedproficiency in Microsoft Excel. Proficiency in clear-to-build processes andrun-out reports
• Excellentanalytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to workcollaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Ability to thrivein a fast-paced, deadline-driven setting
