Marketplace Associate - SEAFOOD RE-PACK 

Location:Brewster, NY

Schedule: Full-Time | 5 Days per week | Must be available to work weekends 

Pay: $18-20 / hour 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and assisting with product selection and locating merchandise.

• Assist customers at the seafood counter by handling product inquiries, maintaining an organized display, and ensuring products are properly presented.

• Stock, organize, and replenish merchandise to maintain appropriate inventory levels and an attractive sales floor and seafood display.

• Perform seafood re-pack operations, including weighing, portioning, packaging, labeling, and preparing seafood products for sale in accordance with company procedures and food safety standards

• Bag customer purchases in a neat, organized, and efficient manner.

• Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the sales floor, seafood counter, and work areas by addressing spills, debris, and other potential hazards.

• Perform all additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous retail, grocery, or customer service experience preferred.

• Seafood handling, food preparation, or re-pack experience preferred but not required.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.

• Ability to follow food safety, sanitation, and company procedures.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift, carry, and move merchandise as required.

• This is a full-time position. Must be able to work the assigned schedule. This position may require working overtime, weekends, evenings, and holidays. Work hours may vary or change based on departmental requirements.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the Marketplace Sales Associate will work in a retail environment with frequent interaction with customers and employees. The work environment includes congested and high-traffic areas, occasional exposure to powered industrial equipment, and walking and standing on concrete flooring for extended periods. Duties may require working in varying indoor and outdoor climates, including loading customer vehicles and handling merchandise deliveries.
