About the opportunity

In this role you'll own the marketing for certain areas of the business, from shaping the strategy through to getting campaigns out the door. You'll write the briefs, oversee sign-off and approvals, and support the Marketing Executive in working with our implementation team to make sure every piece of activity lands on time, on budget and to a high standard.

What you'll be doing
Â
- Lead sector marketing: define, lead and implement the marketing strategy for your business sectors, covering the full marketing mix across all channels.
- Manage day-to-day activity: oversee the running of marketing activity for your business sectors, keeping it on schedule, within budget and to a consistently high standard.
- Measure what works: evaluate the effectiveness of activity alongside the wider team and use the results to improve future campaigns.
- Build sector insight: develop a deep understanding of customers in your sectors and use it to shape strategy, messaging and campaigns.
- Engage stakeholders: communicate regularly with internal stakeholders, keeping them informed and involved at the right points.
- Contribute to planning: help shape the annual marketing plans and associated budgets.
- Write strong creative briefs: develop clear, effective briefs that give the implementation team everything they need to produce engaging, on-brand marketing materials.
- Own the brief process across the team: review and manage briefs written by the wider team, making sure they're clear, complete and aligned to objectives before work begins.
- Manage sign-off and approvals: check work against the brief and brand guidelines, gather feedback, and guide materials through the approval process with stakeholders.
- Support delivery through the implementation team: support the Marketing Executive in driving delivery through the implementation team, helping track progress, resolve blockers and keep projects moving to deadline.
- Lead and develop a Marketing Executive: manage their daily workload, set annual objectives, and support their training, development and progression.

About you
Â
You're an experienced marketer who enjoys both shaping strategy and getting into the detail of delivery. You write a clear brief, spot what's off-brief at a glance, and keep projects moving without losing sight of quality.

Experience
- Marketing background: at least 5 years' experience in a marketing role, with hands-on experience across all elements of the marketing mix.
- Strategy and planning: a track record of preparing and delivering strategic marketing plans, and presenting them confidently to stakeholders.
- Briefing and approvals: experience writing creative briefs and managing work through review, sign-off and approval.
- Budget management: experience of developing marketing budgets and delivering activity within them.
- People management: experience of managing, supporting or developing a junior team member is desirable.
- Education: a degree or equivalent in business, marketing or a related subject.
