The Marketing & Client Relations Manager leads Sage Veterinary Imaging’s marketing activities while developing trusted relationships with referring veterinarians and veterinary practice teams throughout Texas. This role combines marketing coordination, brand management, event promotion, and relationship-based referral development.

The Manager ensures Sage’s services, specialists, clinical capabilities, and educational offerings are communicated clearly and consistently across social media, marketing collateral, campaigns, conferences, and direct practice outreach. Through regular clinic visits and thoughtful follow-up, this individual learns about each practice’s evolving needs and identifies opportunities for Sage to provide meaningful support.

This is not a transactional sales role. Success requires genuine relationship-building, consistent follow-through, strong organization, and the ability to represent Sage’s clinical expertise accurately and professionally. The role requires regular travel throughout Texas to visit veterinary practices, attend conferences, and represent Sage at professional and community events.

Key Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy and Coordination

  • Develop and manage Sage’s marketing calendar across service lines, locations, campaigns, events, and organizational initiatives.
  • Coordinate marketing priorities with clinical and operational leadership.
  • Develop targeted campaigns promoting Sage’s imaging services, specialists, technology, educational offerings, new capabilities, and organizational announcements.
  • Ensure marketing activities align with organizational goals, service availability, and growth priorities.
  • Manage campaign timelines, approvals, budgets, deliverables, and follow-up.
  • Identify opportunities to improve Sage’s market visibility and engagement with the veterinary community.

Social Media Content and Scheduling

  • Develop and maintain a consistent social media content calendar.
  • Draft, coordinate, schedule, and publish social media content across Sage’s platforms.
  • Work with Sage’s clinical and operational teams to identify relevant educational, clinical, team, and service-related content.
  • Coordinate required reviews and approvals before publication.
  • Monitor engagement and recommend adjustments based on content performance.
  • Maintain a consistent, credible, and professional brand voice.

Marketing Collateral and Brand Consistency

  • Create, update, and organize marketing collateral, including service-line materials, referral guides, flyers, digital assets, presentations, event materials, and promotional items.
  • Ensure messaging and visual presentation remain consistent across all channels and locations.
  • Coordinate updates when Sage introduces new services, specialists, technology, workflows, or referral resources.
  • Maintain an organized library of current, approved marketing assets.
  • Coordinate with internal leaders and external vendors or designers as needed.

Conference and Event Management

  • Manage Sage’s participation in veterinary conferences, continuing-education programs, open houses, hospital events, and community activities.
  • Coordinate registrations, sponsorships, booth arrangements, promotional materials, supplies, travel, and event logistics.
  • Attend events and represent Sage’s services, clinical expertise, and referral resources.
  • Develop pre-event promotion and post-event follow-up plans.
  • Capture and organize contacts, opportunities, and feedback generated through events.
  • Evaluate event performance and recommend future participation or investment.

Referring-Veterinarian and Practice Relationships

  • Develop meaningful, long-term relationships with referring veterinarians and veterinary practice teams throughout Texas.
  • Conduct regular, thoughtful outreach and in-person clinic visits.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable and responsive representative of Sage within the veterinary community.
  • Clearly communicate Sage’s services, clinical capabilities, specialists, technology, referral processes, and approach to supporting referring veterinarians and their patients.
  • Build relationships based on trust, clinical credibility, responsiveness, and consistent follow-through.
  • Maintain regular communication without creating a transactional or overly sales-focused experience.

Practice Needs and Referral Development

  • Learn what is new within each practice, including staffing changes, available capacity, operational pinch points, clinical services, referral patterns, and emerging needs.
  • Identify Sage services and resources that may be relevant to each practice.
  • Introduce new or underutilized services based on the practice’s needs and patient population.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen existing referral relationships and establish new ones.
  • Coordinate appropriate follow-up after visits, events, service introductions, and initial referrals.
  • Support new referring clinics in understanding Sage’s referral process and available resources.
  • Maintain relationships after the first referral to encourage a strong and lasting partnership.

Market Intelligence and Performance Tracking

  • Document clinic visits, contacts, follow-up commitments, referral opportunities, and outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate records of new and existing referring practices.
  • Track marketing engagement, lead generation, new referring clinics, and referral-development activity.
  • Share actionable insights regarding rDVM needs, market changes, competitor activity, service concerns, and growth opportunities.
  • Identify recurring feedback and recommend improvements to Sage’s services, communication, referral experience, or marketing.
  • Provide regular updates to leadership regarding activities, results, challenges, and emerging opportunities.

What You Need to Succeed

You will thrive in this role if you are:

  • Warm, professional, and genuinely interested in building long-term relationships.
  • A strong communicator who can explain specialized clinical services clearly and accurately.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations, visiting veterinary practices, and representing Sage at professional events.
  • Marketing-minded, with the ability to coordinate content, collateral, campaigns, and events.
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, contacts, and follow-up commitments.
  • Self-directed and comfortable planning field activity without frequent supervision.
  • Curious and attentive, with the ability to uncover a practice’s needs through thoughtful conversation.
  • Relationship-centered while remaining accountable for referral growth and measurable results.
  • Responsive and committed to following through on commitments.
  • Comfortable receiving feedback and adjusting outreach or marketing strategies based on results.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, veterinary practice management, or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain professional relationships.
  • Experience coordinating marketing content, campaigns, collateral, or events.
  • Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a combination of office-based and field-based responsibilities.
  • Ability and willingness to travel regularly throughout Texas.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, content-scheduling tools, presentation software, and standard business applications.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in veterinary medicine, animal health, specialty medicine, diagnostic imaging, or healthcare.
  • Existing familiarity or relationships within the Texas veterinary community.
  • Experience working with referring veterinarians or veterinary practice teams.
  • Experience managing conferences, continuing-education events, sponsorships, or trade-show participation.
  • Experience using a customer relationship management system to document outreach and track results.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing analytics, campaign reporting, and lead tracking.
  • Experience translating clinical or technical information into clear, engaging marketing content.
