Ready to help shape the future of sustainable energy? Join Hitachi Energy's Jefferson City Factory as aProcess Engineer and play a key role in optimizing the manufacturing processes that power tomorrow's energy solutions.

In this hands-on role, you'll serve as the process expert for an assigned manufacturing area, spending significant time on the production floor where you can make a direct impact on safety, quality, productivity, and operational excellence. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive continuous improvement initiatives, implement best practices, and use data-driven insights to enhance manufacturing performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a problem solver who enjoys working closely with operations, leading process improvements, and influencing positive change. From supporting new equipment integration and product introductions to developing production standards and driving efficiency gains, you'll help create a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Provide hands-on process engineering support to maintain safe, stable, and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Serve as the technical expert for an assigned production area and support continuous process improvement.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve production standards and business improvement plans.
  • Lead structured problem-solving activities and implement sustainable corrective actions.
  • Drive productivity, quality, and cost improvement initiatives using Lean and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Support equipment integration, commissioning, optimization, and process validation activities.
  • Partner with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams to ensure manufacturing readiness and successful product launches.
  • Analyze KPIs, process data, and time studies to identify improvement opportunities and enhance operational performance.

Your Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or a related Engineering field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or process engineering environment.
  • Knowledge of process control, process optimization, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, including Lean, Kaizen, and root cause problem-solving.
  • Familiarity with capital equipment implementation, optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
