Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future
Hadrian is building autonomous factories to reindustrialize America. By combining AI, advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we help aerospace and defense companies build rockets, satellites, aircraft, ships, and other mission-critical systems up to 10x faster and at significantly lower cost.
Following our $1.37B Series D at a $7.87B valuation, Hadrian is rapidly expanding our manufacturing footprint, launching new capabilities across welding, casting, forging, electronics, additive manufacturing, and more, while scaling our Factory-as-a-Service platform to transform how critical products are built.
Backed by leading investors including JPMorgan Chase, Valor Equity Partners, Andreessen Horowitz, Founders Fund, 137 Ventures, Lux Capital, T. Rowe Price, and Morgan Stanley, we’re building the future of American manufacturing—and looking for exceptional people to help make it happen.
If you’re ready to take on the most challenging and rewarding work of your career while helping create American manufacturing jobs for generations to come, you’re exactly who we’re looking for.
The Role
Hadrian is building a team that converts decades-old technical data, scanned and hand-marked prints and the requirements behind them, into model-based definition. Hadrian's software does much of the conversion, and engineers review and complete what it produces.
As a Manufacturing Engineer, MBD, you do this work by hand on the hardest packages. What you learn shapes the software and the process the team runs on. Senior engineers in this role set the definition standard and work with the software team on what the tool must handle.
What You'll Do
Work through customer packages across welding, assembly, NDT, and machining requirements, and author them onto the model as linked MBD.
Review what Hadrian's software produces, correct it, and report each class of error to the software team.
Help define the standard workflow and its quality checks, so a larger team can run the work in the software.
Review other engineers' output against the definition standard.
Train the engineers and specialists who join the team.
What We're Looking For
3+ years of industry experience in CAD modeling, with work centered on drawings and product definition: MBD authoring, drawing checking, or legacy-data conversion.
Reads messy legacy prints across welding, assembly, NDT, and machining callouts, including weld and NDT symbols per AWS A2.4, and resolves ambiguity against the specifications and engineering reports the print references.
GD&T to ASME Y14.5 and MBD/PMI to Y14.41, enough to author a definition that manufacturing and inspection can work from directly.
Experience in Teamcenter or a comparable PLM system, including assembly structure, part numbering, and release workflows.
Can review another engineer's work and turn a recurring error into a check that prevents it.
What Will Set You Apart
Deep Teamcenter experience, including how product definition is structured and governed in it.
Wrote requirements that a software team built against, as the tool's expert user.
CATIA or NX experience, including a legacy-to-PLM migration such as CATIA to Teamcenter.
Defined a process that a larger team then ran, in a fast, low-process environment.
Submarine, naval, or defense-program drawing experience.
Compensation
For this role, the target salary range is $150,000 - $211,000(actual range may vary based on experience).
This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
Benefits for Full-time Employees
Medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees
401kRelocation support may be provided for certain situations, based on business need.
Flexible vacation policy
