We are seeking a dedicated Manufacturing Engineer I/II to join our dynamic team in San Luis Obispo. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing manufacturing processes and methods aligned with product specifications, quality standards, and operational goals. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement, ensure manufacturability, and maintain compliance with internal and external standards. Â
Responsibilities:Â
- Develop and implement manufacturing processes and methods for both new and existing productsÂ
- Integrate automation into existing production lineÂ
- Manufacturing Execution Systems ExperienceÂ
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure manufacturability and design efficiencyÂ
- Analyze and improve production workflows for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectivenessÂ
- Create and maintain clear, detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions and standard operating proceduresÂ
- Support the selection, implementation, and optimization of manufacturing equipment, tooling, and processesÂ
- Participate in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for manufacturing issuesÂ
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations and company standards Â

Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering, or a related fieldÂ
- For Manufacturing Engineer I: 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering roleÂ
- For Manufacturing Engineer II: 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering roleÂ
- Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing process simulation tools Â
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsÂ
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilitiesÂ
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly and production equipment, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)Â
- Automation or machining experience highly desiredÂ
- Experience in the aerospace or defense industry (preferred)Â
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality management systems (preferred)Â
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (preferred) Â
