This role is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing professional who excels in CNC milling and thrives in a precision-driven aerospace environment.
You will play a key role innew product development,process optimization, andcontinuous improvement for high-precision milled aerospace components. This position blends engineering, CNC programming, and shop-floor collaboration to deliver world-class manufacturing solutions.
Key Responsibilities
As a Manufacturing Engineer / CNC Programmer, you will:
- Develop, optimize, and maintainCNC milling machining processes for new and legacy components
- Create detailedCNC programs, operation sheets, and manufacturing instructions in accordance with engineering specifications
- Defineoperation sequences, tooling, fixturing, gauging, and machine requirements
- Troubleshoot shop-floor issues related to tooling, work holding, gauging, machining, and inspection
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to improve manufacturability and producibility
- Review engineering drawings and recommenddesign-for-manufacturing (DFM) improvements
- Assist withprogram prove-outs, machine-ready code development, and hands-on production support
- Estimatesetup times, run times, and tooling hours to support cost modeling and new business proposals
- Lead or contribute tocontinuous improvement initiatives
- Mentor junior engineers and support skill development within the team
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- Education & Experience (any one of the following):
- Bachelor's degree in a technical field with3+ years of relevant experience
- Associate degree with6+ years of relevant experience
- High School Diploma/GED with8+ years of relevant professional experience
- Strong proficiency inCNC Milling Machining, including multi-axis vertical and/or horizontal machining centers
- Hands-on experience withmachine setup and operation
It's a plus if you also have:
- Degree inMechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience in theaerospace industry
- Exposure tomachine automation integration
- Experience withinspection of machined parts
- Hands-on machining experience withstainless steel, titanium, and aluminum
- Proficiency inSiemens NX CNC Programming
- Knowledge ofLean Manufacturing principles (Lean Six Sigma certification preferred)
