What to Expect
The Vehicle Manufacturing Controls team is expanding its scope to include the electrical design and the management of electrical equipment fabrication, installation, and commissioning for new manufacturing lines to support the overall mission of building a world of amazing abundance.  You will work closely with internal stakeholders (infrastructure, equipment design team, process design team, automation, purchasing, and program management), external contractors, and vendors to deliver an integrated manufacturing solution. EPLAN experience is important in this role.Â
What You’ll Do
- Review line layout concepts to finalize electrical scopeÂ
- Transform concept layouts/designs into fabrication and installation drawingsÂ
- Utilize EPLAN for design and developmentÂ
- Review electrical drawings and calculate power loadsÂ
- Design and implement equipment safety per local and international codes and standardsÂ
- Coordinate, schedule, and manage electrical installation and commissioning activitiesÂ
- Support internal teams and third parties to obtain required permitsÂ
- Travel as needed (domestic and international) for acceptance tests and equipment buy-offsÂ
- Develop tools for expediting project deliverablesÂ
What You’ll Bring
- Proficiency in design and review of electrical controls, network, and power distribution systemsÂ
- Knowledge of electrical standards including NFPA and ULÂ
- 3+ years of industry experience in electrical engineeringÂ
- Experience in large-scale construction management involving multi-trade and tight timelinesÂ
- Experience in site safety management of electrical installations including LOTO and commissioning proceduresÂ
- Experience creating and maintaining project documentation, drawings, reports, tools, and templates to accelerate deliverablesÂ
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent experience
